Howard Payne University '07 In her third season at Clarendon College, Candra McKee has transformed the Softball program into a winner. McKee did the unthinkable leading her team to the regional tournament for the first time in school history during the 2008-2009 season and went into the final weekend with 28 wins setting a school record. Three players on the 2008-2009 squad earned all-conference honors and one earned the NFCA Scholar Athlete Award. Taking over a program that had never had a winning season or gone to the post season she rolled her sleeves up and went to work, leading her first squad to a overall record of 16-32, the most wins in a season at Clarendon with two players from the squad receiving all-conference honors in 2007-2008. McKee joined Clarendon College after spending one year as an assistant at Howard Payne University. While at Howard Payne, McKee experienced great success by helping lead them to a second place finish in the regular season with a record of 28-10 earning a bid to the conference tournament with 10 players receiving all-conference honors. McKee, a standout player in her own right, played two seasons at Northeast Texas Community College. She then transferred to She graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Exercise and Sport Science from Howard Payne Univeristy. |
